Congratulations to Yifan Wang, a doctoral student in the FSU Department of Scientific Computing, who has been accepted to participate in the 2026 Cognitive Neuroimaging Skills Training in Cambridge (COGNESTIC)!

About COGNESTIC 2026
COGNESTIC is an international training program hosted by the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit at the University of Cambridge. The two-week summer school brings together early-career researchers working at the intersection of neuroscience, cognition, and computational methods.
The program will take place 14–25 September 2026 in Cambridge and provides selected participants with intensive workshops, lectures from leading scientists, and collaborative research opportunities. COGNESTIC focuses on open, transparent, and reproducible neuroimaging analysis, covering MRI, fMRI, and EEG/MEG methodologies through hands-on practice and programming-focused workshops.
Looking Ahead
Yifan's acceptance to COGNESTIC reflects the strength of the Department of Scientific Computing's interdisciplinary research and its growing involvement in data-driven approaches to understanding brain and cognitive systems. Participation in this program will allow her to engage with an international community of researchers while further developing computational and analytical techniques relevant to modern cognitive and brain science.
